These policies dictate the basic principles of how =FFL= is
managed. The following should be used as a guideline for current and
prospective members of =FFL=. Though subject to change, the current
policies are non-negotiable and any member or recruit found in
violation of them will be dishonorably discharged from the team.
Cheating
Our cheating policy is very simple. Any =FFL= member or recruit
caught cheating will first have their =FFL= member status
permanently revoked. Secondly, they will be exposed to the gaming
community as a known cheater and as a rejected member of =FFL=. You
will not only be vigorously rejected as a member of =FFL= in the
public eye but we will seek to make sure your reputation is justly
and permanently burned on the minds of our gaming community members.
This means any community discussion boards or news sites will be
addressed. So, if you cheat, DON'T! It is not only cowardly, but
immature and disrespectful of those who take the game serious and
work hard to better themselves at it.
Conduct
All Full Members and FNG should know the Code of the Legionnaire
which can be found here. Legionnaires' Code. Along with this, all
members of =FFL= should show Maturity, Respect, Honor, Dedication,
and Motivation wherever they represent =FFL=.
Names: All member names will be in a specific format to be followed
at all times. The letters of your name should look like this;
Xxxxxxxxxx ex: Terminator or XXXXXX ex: JAGUAR, with the =FFL=
following your name.
Armpatches: =FFL= members are allowed to use their own armpatch or a
pre-made clan patch. Armpatches will not contain any profanity,
nudity, or complete stupidity. Your armpatch should represent you
and =FFL=. If you are unsure about the acceptance of your armpatch,
let a Founder of Charter member inspect it before using it.
Behavior: As a member of =FFL=, you are expected to show respect to
others. Any purposeful tking (team killing) of any team member,
=FFL= or not, will result in immediate expulsion (unless there are
extenuating circumstances of course). All members are expected to
try and avoid conflicts with others. There is no need for childish
bantering about something even remotely important.
Member Status
Full: (Permanent Member Status)
Full members are those who have passed the Recruit probation phase
and have been chosen to participate as permanent =FFL= members.
Permanent members are allowed to participate in discussions and
decisions pertaining to the upkeep of the team.
Charter Members: (Permanent Member Status)
Charter Members are individuals that have shown exemplary conduct as
Full members and have proven they can handle responsibility and have
shown the desire to do so. Charter Members must abide by all the
Full member requirements as well as handle any responsibilities the
Founders impose upon them. Charter Members have the authority to
delegate duties to Recruits, Full and Reserve members alike.
Founder: (Permanent Member Status)
The Founders are those who created =FFL=. These members are those
who have stuck together through thick and thin and have made =FFL=
what it is today. Founding members are the ones to blame when
anything goes wrong with the unit because they hold the ultimate
responsibility for what =FFL= is and does. Founding members have
authority over all other members of =FFL=.
Retired: (Permanent Honorary Member Status)
Retired members are past members of =FFL= who have left on good
terms. Membership in =FFL= is taken seriously and we would rather
our respected members stay on the roster even if they leave us for
good.
FNG: (Recruit Status)
An FNG (Future New Guy/Gal) is a prospective member of =FFL=. They
have been accepted as a recruit and therefore should represent =FFL=
as the Full Members do. FNGs cannot participate in discussions or
decision making pertaining to the clan until Full Members Status is
achieved.
Recruiting
FNG Process: The =FFL= name carries with it a tradition of maturity,
respect, honor, dedication, motivation, and undying friendship. Our
First and Foremost belief is that every member who wears the =FFL=
tag is our representative. Each time they join a game, talk to
someone on a message board, and post on a forum, they are
representing the whole =FFL= team. The FNG process is a 4 step
process that begins with a post in the recruiting forum. The recruit
should read the top sticky post in the Recruiting Forum detailing
what information they need to leave. This can be found here Required
Information. Information can be posted here Recruitment Forum Link.
It is important we know all the information we possibly can about a
recruit. This lets us know what type of person you are. If you leave
all the required information, give good reasons to join, and show a
professional attitude towards joining, we will take your request
very seriously.
After the information is left, an FNGC will be assigned to the new
recruit. The recruit should spend as much time as possible playing
with the team, getting their face known. After a full week of
playing, the FNGC will make a decision to make FNG yes or no. For
this week we are looking mostly for the aforementioned qualities,
especially respect towards =FFL= members and our policies.
If you do make FNG, your assigned liaison will contact you
immediately to get you started as an FNG. They will tell you what
your in-game name will look like. This is not negotiable. We hold
our name high with pride, and they way we have our own names
reflects the entire clan. Secondly, from the time you wear the FNG
tag, you are representing =FFL= and its members. You are and will be
reminded that you will be removed from the FNG status and never
allowed to join =FFL= if you 1. Mistreat an =FFL= member in any way.
If you encounter a problem, your first order of business should be
to contact your liaison. They will handle the problem, not you. If
you take matters into your own hands, please take the FNG =FFL= tag
off and leave at once. 2. Behavior in games, message boards, forums
etc: Simple, you represent us any time you do something that
represents us. If you make a post in your favorite porn site we do
not care, but if you use the =FFL= name in any way making a post at
a porn site, we will care.
FNG status will last a month, no longer. Some exception may be made
with shortening the time to join, but this is a big IF. If you have
played with us for a long time, any everyone knows you well, and
THEN you apply, we MAY shorten the time, HOWEVER, this will only be
done under very rare circumstances. During the month, the FNGC will
collect as much information about your conduct and gamesmanship from
all of our members. The entire clan will then vote if the FNG can
become a full =FFL= member or not. The vote to join must be
unanimous, and if it is not unanimous, the FNG can not join, however
another attempt at a further time can be made to join =FFL=. Upon
completion of the vote, an email will be immediately sent by the
FNGC Coordinator informing you of the clan’s decision.
